앉아 있는 인물 형태로 제작된 북송 정요(定窯) 백유(白釉) 연적(水滴)입니다.

머리에 쓴 관에는 물을 넣을 수 있는 작은 구멍이 있으며, 착용한 의복의 앞섶은 비교적 넓고, 소매와 밑단에는 주름이 정교하게 표현되어 있습니다. 인물이 양손으로 물이 나오는 주구(注口)를 쥐고 있으며, 등에 손잡이가 달려 있어 사용이 편리합니다. 굽바닥은 편평하게 마무리되었습니다.

긴 아치형 눈썹, 가늘게 뜬 눈, 넓고 둥근 코 등 세밀한 이목구비 표현이 돋보이며, 특히 부드럽고 엷은 미소를 짓고 있습니다.

이 연적은 북송 정요(定窯)에서 제작된 백유자기로, 전체적으로 흰색 유약이 시유되었습니다. 정요는 여요(汝窯), 관요(官窯), 가요(哥窯), 균요(均窯)와 함께 송(宋)대의 5대 명요(名窯) 중 하나로 꼽힙니다. 당나라 말기에 시작되어 오대(五代)를 거쳐 북송(960~1127) 시기에 가장 번성했으며, 오대 이후에는 관요(官窯)의 역할을 담당하며 상아색 백자를 궁중에 납품하였습니다.

砚滴呈人物造型。  

人物头戴冠帽，帽上有一个小孔，可用于注水。其所穿衣物的前襟较宽，袖口与下摆的褶皱雕刻精细。人物双手握住出水口，背后设有手柄，方便使用。底部则为平坦设计，保证稳定性。  

该人物五官雕刻精致，眉毛呈长弧形，眼睛微微眯起，鼻子宽大而圆润，面部表情柔和，带有淡淡的微笑，尽显生动细腻的艺术风格。 

此砚滴为北宋定窑烧制的白釉瓷器，通体施以白色釉料。定窑与汝窑、官窑、哥窑、钧窑并称为宋代五大名窑。定窑始于唐代末期，经五代发展，于北宋（960-1127年）达到鼎盛。五代以后，定窑逐渐承担起官窑的角色，向皇室供应象牙色的白瓷，展现了卓越的工艺水平。

This is a white-glazed water dropper from the Ding ware of the Northern Song Dynasty, crafted in the form of a seated figure.

The small hole in the headdress allows for water to be poured in, while the front lapel of the robe is relatively wide, and the sleeves and hem are intricately pleated. The figure holds the spout with both hands, from which water flows, and a handle is attached to the back for ease of use. The base is finished flat.

Noteworthy features include finely detailed facial expressions, such as long arched eyebrows, slightly open narrow eyes, a broad and rounded nose, and most notably, a gentle and subtle smile.

This water dropper is made of white-glazed porcelain from Ding ware, entirely covered in a white glaze. Ding ware is considered one of the five great kilns of the Song Dynasty, alongside Ru ware, Guan ware, Ge ware, and Jun ware. Ding ware originated in the late Tang Dynasty, flourished through the Five Dynasties period, and reached its peak during the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127). After the Five Dynasties period, Ding ware also functioned as an official kiln, supplying ivory-colored white porcelain to the imperial court.
