고려시대에 제작된 높이 35.5cm의 보기 드문 청자 여래좌상이다.
고개를 약간 숙인 얼굴에서는 은은한 미소가 흐르고 있으며, 편단우견(偏袒右肩)으로 오른쪽 어깨를 드러내어 왼쪽 어깨 위에 걸쳐진 가사는 부드러운 주름을 이루면서 복부로 펼쳐져 자연스런 멋을 풍긴다. 왼손은 배에 살짝 대어 손바닥을 위로, 오른손은 손끝을 아래로 향한 항마촉지인(降魔触地印) 모습을 하고 있고 다리는 오른발을 왼발에 살짝 걸친 반가부좌이다. 굽 바닥은 뚫려 있어서 내부가 훤히 들여다보인다.
이러한 고려청자 인물상은 매우 희귀하기 때문에 국립중앙박물관 소장의 국보 167호 <청자 도교인물상>과 개인 소장의 국보 173호 <청자 퇴화점문 나한좌상>은 국보로 지정될 정도로 높은 가치를 가지고 있다. 이 청자 여래좌상 또한 국보로 지정된 청자 인물상에 못지않은 청자 제작기술과 아름다운 조형미를 보여주고 있으며, 특히 부처의 형상으로 제작된 보기 드문 희귀한 청자로서 그 가치 또한 높은 것으로 평가된다.
这是高丽时代罕见的高35.5cm的青瓷如来坐像。
微微低着头的脸上流露出一丝淡淡的微笑，右肩以偏袒右肩的形式露出，垂在左肩上的袈裟形成柔软的皱纹，蔓延至腹部，散发着自然的神采。左手轻放在腹部，掌心向上，右手呈降魔触地印状，指尖向下。右脚是轻轻搭在左脚上跏趺坐，底部是通的，可以看清内部。
这样人物模样的高丽青瓷非常稀少珍贵，有着和国立中央博物馆收藏的《青瓷道教人物像》（国宝167号）和个人收藏的《青瓷罗汉像》（国宝 173号）等可以被指定为国宝的相当高的价值。这个《青瓷如来坐像》展现出与国宝相比也毫不逊色的青瓷技术和造型美。尤其是佛祖像青瓷更为稀少，所以评价更高。
