입이 곧고 목이 짧으며, 경사진 어깨 아래로 불룩한 배가 아래로 오므라들고 바닥에는 원형의 굽이 달려있는 기형의 항아리이다.
전체적으로 황색 유약이 고르게 시유되었으며, 몸체에는 짙은 갈색과 흰색 유약으로 물고기와 모란당초 문양을 그려 넣었다. 입술 아래 목에는 영원을 상징하는 문양이 둘러져 있고, 목 아래와 굽 위로는 갈색 마름모와 함께 다산과 풍요를 상징하는 물고기와 행복과 번영의 상징인 모란 넝쿨이 가득 그려져 있다.
이 커다란 항아리는 두께가 두껍고 문양이 역동적이면서도 조화로워 전체적으로 안정감을 준다.
당시 일반 백성은 이처럼 황갈색으로 채색된 도자기를 접하기 어려웠기 때문에, 원 황제나 왕족이 사용했던 귀중한 문화재로 여겨진다.

通体施黄釉，罐身深褐色与白色釉绘鱼纹和牡丹唐草纹，口沿下的颈部饰有象征永恒的花纹，颈下部到足底上方绘褐色菱形 下面从肩部到足底的上方则绘有褐色的菱形，并装饰象征多产和富饶的鱼，以及象征幸福，繁荣的牡丹藤蔓。
此罐形体高大规整，胎体厚重，构图疏落有序。
这种黄土色底色的文物一般贫民百姓无法使用，因此认为是元代的皇帝或贵族所使用的珍贵文物。
The jar has a compressed globular body rising from a round foot to a swelling shoulder and an upright, short neck.
The surface is evenly applied overall with yellowish-brown glaze, and the body is painted with fish and peony scrolls in dark-brown and white glazes. The neck is encircled by the eternity design, and the body is full of fish, the symbol of fertility, and peony scrolls, the symbol of wealth and happiness, above the foot and beneath the neck.
This large jar has a thick wall, and the dynamic design arouses formative stability.
Ordinary people of the time had no chance to see yellowish-brown glazed potteries like this, implying that the present work is a precious artifact used in the imperial or royal court of Yuan.
